I promise, those pictures of the baby's room really are coming! I've kind of expanded "Tackle It Tuesday" to "Tackle everyday head on while trying not to get swallowed up by the chaos"!!! We're trying to paint the hall bathroom, the laundry room, and all of the doorways in the house. Yah... it hasn't exactly happened yet! But, I at least did get curtains up in the master bedroom (after not being able to decide on any for 3 years, we found some that are good for selling the house, & will probably stay with the house when we go).

I'm also really proud of my latest toddler t-shirts & onesies I've made. They're exactly the feel that I've been shooting for. Check them out at www.fasa.etsy.com

Tackle it Tuesday

Alright, so Tuesday's a good day to accomplish things, right? Well this Tuesday I'll be able to cross repainting the baby's bedroom off the list. We're planning on putting the house up for sale soon, and with the market as slow as it is right now we need every advantage we can get. So we're in the process of neutralizing the house. We had a pretty bold choice of colors in this room before and I thought it was absolutely adorable, but I know it also didn't appeal to the masses. So Sunday night my husband and I moved everything out, (which completely confused Bryce), my husband painted on Monday while Bryce stayed at a friends house (and when he came home last night it was so cute... he was walking around with his little hands up in the air like, "I just don't don't know what happened!") and now today it's my job to go around and touch up the detail areas. I think it turned out nice!

A trip to Michigan

We recently took a trip to Michigan to visit all of my husbands family there. It really was a great time. Bryce got to hang out with his two cousins, my husband got to see all his old friends that he's known since kindergarten, and I got to hang out with all my in-laws. Despite all kinds of jokes I can make about them being the "in-laws", they really are great people who I like seeing. The weather was pretty good too. It rained a few times, and coming from a person that lives in the desert that's a good thing to experience.

The only downfall to the trip was that it took me out of my normal routine, and so I haven't been creating too many new designs. But have no fear, I'm getting back into the swing of things and I'll have new items out there in a flash! (Flash, is that really the best word?)

Here's a cute banana yellow romper that I made a hand crafted applique of a pot cooking over a campfire for. There's also some hand painted accents.

I did it!

After a long, hard week of working I did it! I've got my 1st items up for sale in my shop www.fasa.etsy.com. I had to wait quite a while for my shirts to come in. The trucks were delayed because of wild fires. In fact, I'm STILL waiting on some items that are coming from Georgia that were supposed to be here on Tuesday, and here it is Saturday. I'm hoping they'll be here Monday. Keeping my fingers crossed.

WELCOME!!!

I'm so excited to have this blog! I've been a crafter and creator my while life, always making whatever I've seen a need for or simply had a magnificent idea for. This past year I've had trouble trying to find clothing for my 1 year son to wear that reflects my husbands and my tremendous love for the outdoors. I can't believe it's taken me this long to put 2 & 2 together to start making the clothes I'm looking for myself! I've also then thought that other people might be looking for the same thing. So here it is. My blog to track my progress in making these clothes available to anyone who wants them!
